Crispy Salmon Bites

Crispy Salmon Bites

Made with Southern Drawl Seasoned Fish Fry Batter.

Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with bold flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup Southern Drawl Fish Fry Batter
  • 3/4–1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Your favorite dipping sauce

How to Make It

  1. Prepare the salmon: Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
  2. Make the batter: In a bowl, mix 1 cup of Southern Drawl Fish Fry Batter with 3/4–1 cup of cold water until smooth. Batter should be thick enough to coat.
  3. Coat the salmon: Dip each salmon cube into the batter, letting any excess drip off. Make sure each piece is evenly coated.
  4. Heat the oil: Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C). Use enough oil for deep frying or shallow fry (at least 1 inch deep).
  5. Fry until golden: Fry salmon bites in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy. Internal temp should reach 145°F.
  6. Drain & serve: Remove and drain on paper towels. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Southern Drawl Tip

For extra crunch, let the battered salmon rest for 5 minutes before frying. This helps the coating stick and get crispier!
